Launched in February this year, the 72.50 metre Abeking & Rasmussen explorer yacht Cloudbreak is busy preparing for an epic voyage that will take her west through some of the roughest seas and most remote locations in the world. Still at the German yacht builder’s facility in Bremen, the yacht is expected to depart the shipyard soon with destination Iceland.
With her Gross Tonnage of over 2,200 GT, Cloudbreak is set to become one of the largest yachts of her length. Her military styling with matching grey paint job is the work of designer Espen Oeino, with her high volume interior having been created by Paris based interior designer Christian Liaigre. The project was secured by SuperYachts Monaco, whom have also overseen the build process on behalf of the owner.
Following her delivery later this month, the yacht will be available for charter with guests able to join the yacht in popular locations around the world as part of her circumnavigation. Guests can cruise in safety, comfort and luxury while sightseeing in Alaska, scuba diving in Costa Rica or exploring the Raja Ampat in Indonesia.
Not only the yacht herself, but the hand-picked crew members are tailored to Cloudbreak’s maiden voyage that will focus on extreme sports and adventure. Members of the team include a professional helicopter pilot, surf coach, paramedic, photographer and yoga instructor. The crew’s skills will come handy during the ambitious voyage that Cloudbreak is about to embark on.
