Perini Navi’s new 70m sailing yacht Sybaris has left the shed. The aluminum ketch has been designed by Perini Navi, with naval architecture and sail plan optimization from Philippe Briand.
With a displacement of 927 tonnes and an 870 GRT, she is the second largest vessel ever built by the Italian shipyard. Sybaris’ 72 and 62m masts, hosting a total sail plan of more than 3000sqm, are just part of the innovations developed with the specific aim of improving the overall operational efficiency and performance under sail.
Specifically chosen by the owners, her interior design was undertaken by the U.S. studio PH Design. Each piece of furniture is custom-designed and the overall concept epitomizes the luxurious contemporary allure of Sybaris.
The vessel can accommodate 6 guests in one master and two VIP rooms. Inside, Sybaris features a large guest area, which connects to the cockpit by way of a 4m sliding door. On deck the 18m long flying bridge offers plenty of space for guests to relax or entertain.
The yacht has two carbon-fibre Cockwells tenders of 7m, one of which is a limo-tender, and are recessed below deck forward along with the 4,5m rescue tender.
