In early 2015 I established my own company M BLUE YACHTS having previously worked as a retail broker and Yacht Fleet Charter Manager. I have followed in the footsteps of my father who has over 35 years of business experience in the industry as a yacht broker and yacht owner. For as long as I can remember we would sail the beautiful Greek islands during weekend getaways and summer vacations. Later on in life I joined sailing regatta crews, achieving great results in competitions and gaining experience in handling and maintaining a yacht to the finest degree. Having sailed this great number of miles on the Greek seas, working as a yacht broker came naturally. My passion for the sea and yachts together with the enthusiasm of offering five-star services to clients on board yachts and superyachts, brought me to the South of France to acquire the highest expertise. I’m fortunate to be able to fluently speak 4 languages; English, French, Italian and Greek.
The use of a yacht broker is essential. Most importantly you will benefit from the safeguards that have been established by the industry and can also be assured that they are represented by an experienced professional who will provide their service to the highest ethical and technical standards. You will make use of the broker’s technical knowledge, as well as knowledge of charter destinations and advice on the best places to go. Participating in the major yacht shows worldwide and interviewing the crew members, I get a first-hand account of what each one has to offer, so that I can then match this up to a specific client’s need. Brokers are objective; they want happy customers, and they want repeat business.
I have organised and arranged everything from helicopter transfers to Chateau Pétrus wines, personal trainers and restaurant bookings at the last minute request. The “concierge service” is also a part of my job. The key to my success is taking a personal approach to your yachting needs; regarding sale and purchase, charter or management. I promise to give great attention to detail, transparency and altruism. These important attributes have contributed to my significant number of returning clientele.
On the subject of Yacht Sales, my most memorable sale has been representing the buyer on a deal where I closed a 46-metre new built Baglietto, not long ago. Being able to participate with a team of highly experienced professionals on building a yacht is challenging and thrilling.
M BLUE YACHTS is a member of the Worldwide Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA) and of the Greek Yachting Association (GYA).
Amélie Panagakos is an individual member of MYBA since 2012, member of the MYBA Eastern Mediterranean Liaison Committee, member of the MYBA Social Club and has been a Founding member of the Greek Yachting Association (GYA) and it’s Treasurer from it’s foundation till the end of 2016.
